Christopher Columbus Park
The Tucson Knights of Columbus were instrumental in getting the Christopher Columbus Park renamed on October 13, 1990. That was the 500th anniversary of the voyages of Christopher Columbus to the new world.

In January of 2009, the Arizona License Plate Commission approved the application for a Choose Life license plate after a six-year legal battle that went all the way to the U. S. Supreme Court.
